Olivia Exstrum

I'm an award-winning writer and editor based in Brooklyn currently working as a corporate copywriter.

 

From 2017 to 2019, I reported at Mother Jones in San Francisco. My work has appeared in publications from Chicago to Johannesburg. I graduated in 2017 from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

I grew up in a small town in Nebraska. Before moving to New York City, I lived in southwestern Colorado. ​​

In my free time, I like hiking, cooking, catering to my dog's every whim, doing cool things with my friends, and writing fiction. I also have a newsletter, Lore, where I share weekly short stories inspired by forgotten photos.
